Senior Human Resource Generalist - Vancouver, BC

CanWel Building Materials Ltd. is one of Canada's leading national distributors of hardware, building materials, home renovation products and pressure treated wood headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. CanWel services the new home construction, home renovation and industrial markets by supplying the retail lumber and building materials industry, hardware stores, industrial and furniture manufacturers and similar services through a network of 16 distribution centers across Canada.

This Temporary Part Time role (3 days per week) is an exciting opportunity for an energetic self-starter who embraces a customer-focused approach. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, you will manage the daily human resources operational requirements across multiple geographic locations within Canada and within an organization of more than 750 employees. You will be part of an HR/Payroll Team of 8 members.

This Senior Human Resource Generalist role is a broad-based hands-on role responsible for providing advice and guidance to our Managers and employees, more specifically, pension and benefits, acting as the primary HR liaison with Payroll, and administering human resource policies and procedures. Working within a team environment, this role will require the ability to work within an environment that embraces change.
