Overview

CanWel Building Materials Group is a leading Canadian wholesale distributor of building materials, home renovation products and hardware and also provides wood pressure treating services. It operates through two divisions: CanWel Building Materials Division and Surewood Forest Products.

 

CanWel services the new home construction, home renovation and industrial markets by supplying "big box" warehouse stores, large independent chains, large co-operatives, and smaller independent chains, stores, and yards.

 

The Building Materials Group's key products are comprised of the following two categories: construction materials and specialty and hardware products. These two categories consist of over 160 separate product lines, encompassing over approximately 20,000 SKUs.
